Cappamore and Limerick Shows:
Many thanks to everyone who attended or supported the Cappamore and Limerick Shows over the last two weekends at our promotion stand. There was great interaction and interest from the general public with a number indicating an interest in taking up the beekeeping craft.
A word of thanks to Donal and Kathy Cooper for all their work in organising the stand, putting together displays and information and being in attendance at both shows. Gus McCoy - Secretary.

RIP John O'Neill
On a sad note, it is with deep sadness I advise you of the sudden passing of one of our elder beekeepers John O'Neill of Grange, Killmallock. John along with his late wife were long time members and supporters of the Limerick Beekeepers Association and were at the forefront of keeping the Association going during lean years when membership numbers were at an all time low. John was in attendance at our February meeting and while he was a very quiet retiring man he was his usual jovial self on the night.
On behalf of the Limerick Beekeepers Association we extend our sympathy to John's family on their loss of a true gentleman, may he rest in peace.
